KittySwoop is a single-player game from Nebulae Labs. This policy covers everything the app does and does not do with information, in plain terms.
Nothing. KittySwoop has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your game progress (best distance, fish collected, which cosmetics you own, which ones you have equipped, and the receipt numbers of any fish packs you have bought, so the same purchase is never credited twice) is stored only in your device's local app storage. We never see it.
Android's own backup feature may copy that save to your Google account, the same as it does for other apps on your phone. That copy belongs to you and is covered by Google's terms, not ours. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings, and clearing the app's data removes the save from the device.
The app requests the INTERNET permission for exactly one reason:
Google Play's billing system. That connection is handled entirely by Google
Play Billing, not by KittySwoop's own code. We never see your payment details,
and neither does the game. Google's handling of that information is covered by
Google's Privacy Policy.
Billing is the only thing that uses the network. The game asks Google what you already own when it starts and when you return to it, so your purchases show up without you having to restore them by hand. Nothing else in the app makes network requests: the game itself is fully playable offline, and no part of it sends anything about you anywhere.
The app also requests VIBRATE, used only for haptic feedback
during gameplay (for example, when you catch a yarn ball). It has nothing to
do with data collection.
Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
KittySwoop is made for everyone, and it is rated for ages 5 and up, so children can play it too. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. There is nothing to opt out of, no profile to build, and no advertising of any kind. That is how we intend to keep it, and it is what we have declared to Google under the Play Families policy.
Parents: Google Play allows for parental control implementation. You can configure a password for every purchase made on their platform, to avoid surprise charges from in-app purchases like in KittySwoop or similar apps on the Play Store.
Because the app stores everything on the device and sends nothing to us, there is no account for us to delete and no data for us to hand over. Clearing the app's data, or uninstalling it, removes the save. If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date above.
